Welcome to Cub Scout Pack 79! We bring children and families together to explore the outdoors, learn useful skills, serve our community, and make lasting friendships.
We believe some of childhood’s best experiences happen when kids try something new: working together on a project, helping a neighbor, or discovering that they can do something they once thought was difficult. Through Scouting, we help children build confidence, take responsibility, and practice kindness—all while having fun.

What We Do
Our activities combine hands-on learning, outdoor adventures, and time together as a pack. From nature activities and creek cleanups to our end-of-summer pool party, Scouts have opportunities to:
Explore and learn: Discover nature, develop practical skills, and try new challenges.
Make friends: Work together, encourage one another, and celebrate accomplishments.
Give back: Take part in service projects that help care for our Plano community.
Build character: Practice honesty, respect, responsibility, and the Cub Scout motto: “Do Your Best.”
A Place for Families
Pack 79 is powered by parents and volunteers who give their time to create meaningful experiences for our Scouts. Families are an important part of the adventure, whether helping with an activity, organizing an event, or cheering on a child’s achievements.
You don’t need a Scouting background to get involved. Curiosity, enthusiasm, and a willingness to help are a great place to start.
Our Pack Leaders
Our volunteer leaders work together to help Scouts learn, grow, and enjoy their time in Pack 79.
Cubmaster
Guides pack meetings and works with families and den leaders to bring the pack’s activities to life.
Den Leaders
Lead age-appropriate adventures, encourage teamwork, and help Scouts celebrate their progress.
Pack Committee
Supports the program behind the scenes through planning, communications, finances, and event coordination.
